Mothers and daughters have notoriously tumultuous relationships. Whether it’s Joan and Christina Crawford or Dina and Lindsay Lohan, mom’s and their female offspring have a lot of “Crazy B*tch” between them. However, today is the day to thank our mothers for all of the good things they’ve done for us and the sacrifices they have made along the way. And if you’re a mother yourself, then you know the job is not easy!
And because I am 3,000 miles away from my mother this Mother’s Day, I would like to share with you a few of the reasons why she is so great. She is ALWAYS there for me when I am upset and is the first person I call when I need someone to tell me that everything will be okay (because it always is, and she is always right). My Mother seems to have an endless amount of love to give. Whether it’s her children, parents, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, dogs… my mother could adopt a million children and each would feel as though they were the only one (don’t get any ideas, Mom!). My Mother has unconditional love and support for whatever I do, I didn’t realize until later on in life that this is not always the case with mothers and daughters, so I am very lucky. She is the reason why I follow my dreams everyday.
So thank you Mom! I love you so much and sincerely apologize for ages 14-22 (I was a total CB brat!)
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
